Dear Neighbor,

We need a different kind of representative in Washington, D.C.
Our country needs someone to stand up to the power brokers and leadership in both political parties and do what is right for America.

As a mayor and lifelong South Bay resident, I know that we need to put people back to work to improve our economy. I am running for Congress to bring our taxpayer dollars back to California through federal reinvestment in our aerospace and defense industries.

I am a pro-choice Independent Republican who has delivered a balanced budget every year since being elected mayor. I will tackle the federal deficit, spending and taxes head-on and hold Washington accountable.

Our government also needs to be more responsive to the American People on issues like health care reform.

You can count on me to:

* Be an advocate for green energy solutions
* Lead efforts to stop illegal immigration by protecting our borders
* Fight for legislation to increase oversight on insurance companies, banks and Wall Street
* Support education at all levels to secure our children's future and keep America competitive
